A high-fidelity wound packing and tourniquet training solution – designed for realism, built for resilience, and created in partnership with St John to enhance bleeding control education.

Realistic, Durable, and Designed for Critical Bleeding Control Training

The MEDICFX MT890 “Saint John Arm,” developed in collaboration with St John New Zealand, offers a highly realistic, dual-function trauma training experience for wound packing and tourniquet application.

This compact task trainer features soft, lifelike silicone tissue that allows trainees to practise bleeding control techniques under realistic pressure and resistance. It is designed for repeated, high-volume training in prehospital, tactical, and first responder environments.

Key Features

Two Configurations for Progressive Learning:

Soft Tissue Wound (No Bone): Simulates a deep ballistic entry wound for basic wound packing and gauze compression.

Open Fracture Wound (With Bone): Adds palpable bone structure for advanced haemorrhage control and fracture management scenarios.

Integrated Tourniquet Zone:

Realistic upper arm shape and compressibility for effective tourniquet placement and tensioning practice.

Designed to work with standard commercial tourniquets.

High-Fidelity Construction:

Handcrafted platinum-cured silicone skin with embedded textures for visual and tactile realism.

Internal structure designed to simulate realistic tissue compression and resistance during wound packing.

Blood Flow Simulation (Optional):

It is compatible with manual or pressurised blood systems to simulate external bleeding control.

Durable and Easy to Maintain:

Built for repeated institutional use; easy to clean and reset between sessions.
