Develop procedural confidence in transvaginal cerclage placement with this lifelike, repeatable training model. Designed for obstetrics and gynaecology trainees and specialists, it enables safe hands-on practice of McDonald and rescue cerclage techniques using soft-touch, platinum silicone and dynamic movement for true-to-life simulation.
Crafted in consultation with New Zealand clinical educators, the model replicates cervical and vaginal tissue with anatomical precision. Its flexible structure allows realistic manipulation, while the base can be securely clamped to a tabletop for stability. Learners can refine needle handling, suture placement, and knot tying in a setting that mimics clinical responsiveness—ideal for building confidence and muscle memory.
Included are four interchangeable cervical plugs representing a range of cervix types and stages of dilatation, including one designed for advanced rescue scenarios. The modular plug system supports varied training objectives and long-term use, with replacements available individually or as a set.
This model offers an effective alternative to cadaveric or live tissue training, enabling institutions to deliver consistent, hygienic, and cost-effective simulation across multiple learners. Suitable for simulation labs, workshops, hospital-based teaching, and advanced OSCE preparation, it integrates easily into both standalone and scenario-based training environments.
Handmade in Aotearoa from medical-grade silicone, it is built to endure thousands of uses. The model is available in light, medium, or dark skin tones and is easy to clean with standard commercial disinfectant wipes. Replacement plugs and optional carry cases are also available.
