Developed and validated by a multidisciplinary clinical team, this full silicone abdominal model provides a versatile platform for training in trauma, general, vascular, and urological procedures. It can be attached to manikins or standardised patients, allowing highly realistic team-based operating room simulation.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Secure the model to a manikin or standardised patient using Velcro straps.
- Insert and connect organs via luer locks (spleen, liver, bowel, etc.).
- Attach abdominal skin layer over moulaged organs for seamless realism.
- Connect bloodlines/fluid lines as required for scenario.
- Test flow through tubing to confirm no blockages before use.
TRAINING
Functionality & Scenarios:
- Designed for open abdominal procedures with cutting, suturing, clamping, and organ handling.
- Supports trauma, general surgery, vascular repair, bowel resection, appendectomy, gastric interventions, and urological procedures.
- Bladder can be catheterised or filled; stomach can receive fluid/air.
- Organs removable and interchangeable for scenario variation.
- Compatible with manikins or wearable on standardised patients.
Operability:
- Blood and fluid simulation via embedded lines.
- Organs can be cut, sutured, and repaired with included kit.
- Durable for repeated use in team or individual training.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove skins and organs after use; rinse under warm water.
- Flush fluid lines with 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water to prevent mould.
- Dry thoroughly with towel, air, or hairdryer before storage.
- Store in travel case or cushioned support to maintain shape.
- Repair cuts with FX Silicone Repair Kit (link to repair video).
- Avoid sugar-based blood substitutes.
- If silicone becomes shiny, wipe with isopropyl alcohol and powder lightly with baby powder.
