From FX to MCI. From screen realism to simulation readiness.
We came out of film — the kind where every wrinkle, wound, and bruise has to hold up on a cinema close-up. Then one day, a hospital asked:
“Can you make a manikin face that doesn’t look like a crash-test dummy?”
We said yes. We haven’t stopped since.
What we found shocked us:
No diversity in facial overlays
No trauma realism that felt right
No way to train for pressure, except imagination
So we started building the things we wished existed.
Now our tools are used inmultiple universities globally and bymajor defence and emergency forces, including teams in the U.S., NZ, Australia, South Korea, France, UK and the Netherlands.
Facial overlays that give lifeless manikins real human presence — across age, gender, and skin tone
Trauma kits with packable, suture-ready, bleeding wounds — used inSTOP THE BLEED andTCCC training
Surgical and neonatal trainers with true-to-life internal anatomy
Custom builds when off-the-shelf doesn’t cut it
“Our students stop pretending. They’re all in.”
— Pete Higgins
Realism creates pressure.
Pressure builds competence.
Competence saves lives.
We don’t make props. We make tools for people who don’t get a second chance.
When someone says,“That made me sweat,” — we’ve done our job.
Got a scenario no one else has solved? Need a model that doesn’t exist yet?
Let’s build it — together.

Realism that holds up under pressure.
MEDICFX builds high-fidelity simulation tools that feel human — because lifeless plastic doesn’t prepare people for real emergencies. From trauma kits to facial overlays, everything we make is designed to close the gap between training and reality.
Our models are handmade, clinically informed, and built for impact — used in STOP THE BLEED, OSCEs, TCCC, and more.
